Virgin White Peach Sangria

As we move into the summer months, there is no better time for fruity, refreshing party drinks like this Virgin White Peach Sangria (although if you’d like to make it not so virginal, feel free to substitute a bottle of white wine for the white grape juice). Girls’ night? Good. Summer barbecue? Good. Mother’s Day Brunch? Good. (This Joey from Friends joke will never get old.)

Ingredients Needed

  • White Grape Juice – Feel free to sub a bottle of white wine here if you prefer.
  • Peach Nectar – Find this near the canned juices or by the Hispanic foods in your grocery store.
  • Sparkling Mineral Water – I love Topo Chico. Sparkling Mineral Water adds a subtle sparkle to this sangria. Club soda would also work.
  • Sliced Peaches – Frozen peach slices work great here. If you’d rather use fresh, see this post for How to Peel Peaches easily.
  • Orange Juice – Spring for the good quality, no pulp variety. Nothing from concentrate here!
  • Grapes – Green grapes look beautiful in this drink, but red will work, too. If you’re feeling wild, you could add in some whole raspberries (either in addition to the grapes or swap the grapes out for the raspberries).
  • Citrus – This sangria calls for a lemon, a lime, and an orange. Because they will be sliced and submerged in your drink, give them a quick wash with a dab of dish soap to remove any impurities from the peel before slicing.

How to Make Virgin White Peach Sangria

  1. First, slice up your lemon, lime, and orange. If you’d like (and this is only for aesthetics) you can line your slices up nicely on the inside of your pitcher.
  2. Place the rest of the fruit in the pitcher and add the grape juice, orange juice, and peach nectar.
  3. Chill for several hours if possible. Immediately before serving, snag a bottle of sparkling mineral water. I love Topo Chico. If you’re serving a crowd all at once, add the bottle of sparkling mineral water to the sangria.

That said, I actually prefer to not add the sparkling water directly to the pitcher because it can dilute things too much and the bubbles are gone by the time you drink it. If possible, fill each glass about 1/2 full with ice, 3/4 with the sangria/fruit mixture, then top it off with the sparkling water.Serve over lots of ice, making sure some fruit gets into each glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this ahead of time?

This Virgin White Peach Sangria is best when it has had several hour for flavors to blend. That said, I wouldn’t make it more than 6-8 hours ahead of time. If you need to prep a day ahead, slice your citrus fruits and store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Mix up your juices and store them in the fridge. Then, several hours before serving, combine the two and allow to chill. When ready to serve, add ice and sparkling water.

Can leftovers be stored?

While this sangria is best served fresh, leftovers can be kept in the fridge. I recommend enjoying them as soon as you’re able, within 24 hours. The cut fruit will soften and break down the longer it sits and the carbonation will dissipate.

Can I put other fruits in this sangria?

Sure! Berries are especially delicious!

Questions & Reviews

  1. 5 stars
Thank you so much for doing the leg work to perfect this recipe! Perfect for a lighter spin on the original Sangria in the heat of summer! (We couldn’t find peach nectar and actually ended up using natural mango juice). Still used peaches in the drink. Served as instructed, set aside fruit for each glass, and added the sparkling water (or white wine) last minute.
We had a last-minute lunch to welcome my cousins’ pregnant girlfriend into the family and needed a great mocktail to serve. This. Was. Perfect. Thank you again, Kate, for perfecting and sharing! Will be back for other recipes. 🙂

  2. This kind of soft drink recipes always inspire me. This is really adorable and treat to have. I would love to make this on coming mother’s day celebration. Thanks for motivating me.

  3. I’ve used non-alcoholic white wine in place of the white grape juice before. It isn’t as sweet as the juice and is still crisp and refreshing. However, it’s hard to find and the grocery store clerks look at you like you’re from another planet when you ask for it. Red dealcoholized wine is easier to find. Thanks for all the wonderful recipes!

    1. Ooooh, good idea! Fre is a good alternative, but those non-alcoholic wines seem to be sold in grocery stores that also sell alcohol…I don’t ever remember seeing them in dry states/towns. I don’t get all the laws!

      1. Fre is about the only brand I can find. Probably not too much request out there for any non-alcohol wine. Just from teetotalers like us!
