A few weeks ago I posted these Bacon Ranch Chicken Sliders and they were SO popular! I use that same method with a lot of different variations and I figured if you liked those ones so much, you’ll probably like some of the others! So today, we’re getting our pizza on. These have all of the elements you love about pizza (ie soft chewy carbs with gooey cheese and your favorite toppings) but these take a fraction of the time it takes to make homemade pizza. Just like their Bacon-Ranch sandwich sibling, these are great for feeding a crowd and make a great dinner, lunch, or appetizer. Oh! And one of you awesome readers just emailed yesterday saying those Bacon-Ranch ones froze beautifully, so I bet these would, too!

Ingredients Needed
This is just a preview of ingredients and method, keep scrolling for full printable recipe.
- King’s Hawaiian rolls – You’ll use the whole standard sheet of 12 rolls for this recipe. You can easily scale this up or down for the jumbo packs at Costco or the mini packs of 4 at the grocery store.
- Mozzarella and cheddar cheese
- Mini pepperoni – If you can’t find these, you can use regular pepperoni. Just give it a rough chop first!
- Italian seasoning – You’ll need a little Italian seasoning on the inside, but I also sprinkle some on top with some Parmesan cheese. If you’d like, you can use garlic bread seasoning for the top instead.
- Pizza sauce
- Melted butter or olive oil – For brushing the tops of the rolls.
- Parmesan cheese

How to Make Pizza Roll Sheet-Pan Sandwiches
- First you’ll use a bread knife to cut the whole sheet of rolls in half horizontally.
- Next you’ll mix up your filling of mini pepperonis, shredded cheeses, Italian seasoning and pizza sauce.
- Spread that over the bottom half of the rolls, and place the top half back on.
- Finally, you’ll brush the tops with melted butter or olive oil, sprinkle with Italian seasoning and parmesan, and pop the whole thing in the oven until hot and melty.
- Pull sandwiches apart and enjoy immediately!

Storing and Other Tips
- These are best eaten fresh and hot!
- If you’d like to plan ahead, you can assemble these and store them in the fridge or freezer until ready to bake. See full details in the recipe card below.
I always shoot my final photos on a low table where I get good lighting. Happy to report that these sandwich are puppy approved!

Yes! I recommend baking them fresh when you’re ready to eat, but you can assemble them and store in the fridge or freezer until you need them. See full details in the recipe card below.
Absolutely! I just recommend chopping ingredients small and giving any veggies a quick sauté before adding them to the filling mix.

Questions & Reviews
My kids love them. Where did you get the mini pepperoni?
Just at the normal grocery store!
I love it! I really like mini size food, like these sandwiches. Can’t wait to try this recipe. Thank you for sharing!
How would these do as a freezer meal?
I think they’d be great!
These look amazing, and I love the trick of using pre-made rolls.
Also, it seems like everyone is getting a dog lately! I’m so puppy-hungry!
How do these taste if they’re not hot. We’re going in a camp out and can’t bake it there.
Wrap them in foil and leave them out in the sun?? haha
pre-shredded cheese is coated with potato starch and other anti-mold sprays to keep them separate which explains why it doesn’t melt as a freshly grated cheese does.
Hi! I was wondering, is there a specific type of pepperoni you buy? I was looking for something that’s nitrate-free, a little more natural…any recommendations? Thanks!
Maybe check a natural foods store? I just use regular ol’ pepperoni 🙂 . I do like Hormel Turkey pepperoni though!
Thanks! I was also wondering, the Kirkland shredded cheese- does it freeze well if you won’t be using the huge bag from Costco at once? or does it keep well just in the fridge?
Yep- Freezes great! I keep a couple giant bags in my freeze at all times (because can’t run out of cheese! haha)
Yum! I also like to use the frozen eggplant cutlets from Trader Joe’s and make eggplant parm sliders using pizza sauce and mozzarella.
