Cinnamon Chips
- Flour tortillas
- Butter
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
Toppings
- Fresh strawberries
- Granulated sugar – Adding sugar to your berries not only sweetens them up, but creates a nice sauce.
- Chocolate chips – I prefer semi-sweet, but use whatever you like.
- Coconut oil – This helps your chocolate drizzle smoothly. Cold pressed coconut oil will have a little coconut flavor and refined coconut oil will have none. You could use a different oil or a little butter here as well.

How to Make Strawberry & Chocolate Nachos
Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients
- Start with your cinnamon chips. Simply brush flour tortillas with a little melted butter and then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Cut into wedges and bake them in the oven until golden and crisp. It only takes about 10 minutes and the cool off fast!
- Next you’ll need some sweetened strawberries. This isn’t rocket science, but many people don’t know the secret to a beautiful, flavorful fruit syrup is simply- sugar. I add just enough sugar to these chopped strawberries to sweeten, but if you’d like more of a syrup, simply add a little extra sugar.
- You’ll also need some drizzling chocolate. Another little secret, but this time for easy chocolate sauce that drizzles like a dream: fat. I prefer coconut oil, but any neutral-flavored vegetable oil works great, or even shortening or butter. Just a little bit melted in with your chocolate will keep it at a nice drizzling consistency.

Step 2: Assemble Your Nachos
- Simply lay out your chips, spoon on your strawberries and drizzle with chocolate.
- They are wonderful just like that or, if desired, you can add a little whipped cream.

Storing and Other Tips
- These are best enjoyed freshly made! If you have leftover components, store them separately and assemble additional servings as needed.
- The strawberries can and should sit in the fridge for a bit to create the sauce, so you can do that step a few hours in advance if needed.

Questions & Reviews
If I wanted to bring this to a party, I guess I would have to bring it all separate and assemble it there because the chips would get soggy from the strawberry juice, right? Just like regular nachos…my only complaint about nachos, my favorite food, is they don’t travel well. Any suggestions on the chocolate sauce travelling, if I make it with your recipe and keep it room temperature (keeping in mind it’s 90+ degrees here where I live) will it still be “drizzleable”. Maybe I could just make a platter of chopped strawberries and drizzled chocolate with the chips on the side?
You ladies are incredible…this sounds amazing 🙂
I think I’ll go to the store RIGHT NOW to get strawberries. And I’m in my pajamas still. That’s how good this looks! 🙂
Holy moly, this is inspired! I’m making dessert for a dinner tomorrow – I am soooo bringing this!
A boy just wandered by while I was looking at this…now I’m headed to the grocery store for strawberries!
TGIFriday’s had a dessert like this for a limited time last year. The only differences were that theirs had mango and pineapple in addition to strawberries, and they drizzled it with chocolate AND caramel sauce. It was delicious! I will definitely be making this soon!
Wow. You ARE a genius! But of course, you already were…even before this amazing creation! 😉 What could be better then chocolate and strawberries?!!? 🙂

Ha ha! I have to admit, when I saw “strawberry & chocolate NACHOS” as the title for this post on my side-bar I was more than a little hesitant… I should’ve known the base would be the cinnamon-sugar chips!! LOVE those! Made them with the fruit salsa a couple years ago and have been meaning to make them again. This will be a good reason to. 🙂 YUM! Pretty sure this is now on the menu for my hubby’s birthday weekend.
