These simple acorn treats (two ways!) are so quick and easy; a fantastic fall-themed snack!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings12 servings

Ingredients

Version One

  • Nutter Butters mini ("Nutter Butter Bites")
  • Hershey’s Kisses
  • chocolate chips mini
  • little frosting or a chocolate-paste, made with softened butter, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder; you need very little

Version Two

  • donut holes
  • chocolate melted
  • topping of your choice toasted coconut, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, toffee bites
  • pretzels snapped into small-ish pieces; see photo

Instructions

Nutter Butter Acorns

  • Use a dab of frosting to attach a Kiss to each Nutter Butter cookie, then pop a little chocolate chip on the top.

Donut Hole Acorns

  • To prepare the donut holes, slice the very top off on one end to make each on flat.
  • Dunk the one flat end in a little melted chocolate and then in a topping of your choice.
  • Add pretzel for the stem.

Notes

  • Store acorns in an airtight container at room temperature and enjoy within a few days for best results.
  • When gifting, be aware of common allergens and make sure those ingredients are disclosed (peanut butter in the Nutter Butters, coconut, almonds in toffee bits, etc.).
  • You can use mini Nilla Wafers in place of Nutter Butters if desired.
